Every year in September, I post my top 10 outfits according to tumblr notes (here are the 2013 and 2012 posts). This year, only last year’s number one stayed, but it dropped to the tenth position. My observation is that you guys seem to prefer darker coloured simpler outfits!

Doing theatre is stressful, but theatre stress is a different kind of stress. Theatre stress is stress that I want; stress that I crave. I thrive off of it. Theatre stress is good stress, because theatre is my passion.

I’m done with my current sketchbook  and I filled quite a few pages with faces. Decided to collect some of my favourite spreads here, in no particular order. I’ve posted most of them already - first one is new, though. Seeing all of them together makes it easier to spot my shortcomings and stuff I need to work on, so that’s good!

Mostly from imagination, except for a couple of them.

(If I’m not mistaken, there’s 194 faces in this post. I don’t know why I counted.)

Monolitt

Art installation by Syver Lauritzsen and Eirik Haugen Murvold is a paint-emitting plinth that disperses colour according to local mood on social media - video embedded below:

MONOLITT is an interactive installation that quite literally paints the mood of the city, using social media feeds as an input. The installation takes electronic signals and lets them manifest themselves in the physical world. Using sentiment analytics, the installation links tweets to corresponding colored paints in realtime, feeding them out through the top of the sculpture, letting them flow into a procedurally generated three-dimensional painting.

Syver’s Tumblr blog, syverlauritzsen, can be found here

Remus Arthur Potter, you were named after two men who looked out for my safety and cared about my well-being out of altruism and decency rather than because I was a tool for them to use or because I was someone’s son.

Can we honestly discuss this. Look at this beautiful accurate portrayal of an Ancient Kemit (Egyptian) Queen. She looks like an Ethereal Goddess.
Reasons why we need to cast Black People as Black People.

People often think of fire as a destructive force, and it can be. But fire also rejuvenates the land. Many grasses have evolved root systems that survive fires so they can be renewed, and some trees and other plants have seeds that only germinate after a fire has come through. Plus fires clean out old dead wood and other debris, making it easier for fresh plant life to grow.

It’s like a picture of the tide coming in, somewhere in the Elemental Chaos.

///

"Vortex is a project about personal crisis and the human ability to regenerate, to rise from our ashes. Through the absurd, I explore the contemporary world, to find meaning in the meaningless, through the irony I aim to bring awareness about alienation.

I reflect on absurd situations between people and objects in everyday life. the struggle to reach a balance and find meaning.”
